US Open Theme Artist Profile

An in depth look at the creation of the 2024 US Open Theme Art - directed, produced, filmed, and edited by myself - Bernadette Conway. For this piece I travelled to St. Louis, Missouri to work with the US Open Theme Artist. Together we told her story through the lens of a Canon C-70 with audio and lighting equipment to support the environments we entered. After interviewing Chelsey and following her in her life to gather b-roll footage, the post production process quickly began. The ball animating was in partnership with our graphic design team, while I used Adobe After Effects to create the remaining motion graphics including the frame wipes to transition, the search engine, and animating the theme art display chart. I used Adobe Premiere Pro to perform non-linear editing on the majority of the project. It was an incredible experience, and an honor to showcase just a glimpse of the creation behind a center piece for the 2024 US Open.
